Caryn Jones is someone who has an admirable ability to provide a sense of calmness and control in high-stress and difficult situations—a quality that makes her uniquely qualified and skilled at the work that she does. When asked what drew her to family law specifically, she mentions her appreciation for the opportunity to help families navigate tumultuous seasons with grace, so that they can make the best decisions for their life and their family with a clear mind. With this in mind, it is fitting that Caryn references Ruth Bader Ginsburg when asked about her favorite quote: “Reacting in anger or annoyance will not advance one's ability to persuade."
Originally born in Germany due to her family’s military station, Caryn eventually moved to Southern Arizona, where she lived for most of her formative years. After moving to Oregon and finishing her J.D. at Lewis and Clark in 2009, Caryn began her legal career as a sole practitioner before working collaboratively with various family law firms, starting her own mediation and parent coordination practice, and in time, joining the Pacific Cascade Legal team. Caryn uses her years of experience in family law to help her clients navigate through their cases.
Finding solace in the outdoors, she feels most at peace when she is encompassed by nature with her partner and kids on a sunny day, whether it be paddle boarding, camping, skiing, biking, or traveling to a new location. When outdoor adventures are not an option, Caryn never takes for granted the simple joys of a great cup of coffee, the delicious food that Portland offers, and the company of her family, cats, and Great Dane.
