Joshua Hawkins’s impressive legal knowledge and experience, coupled with his desire to help members of the community sort through the strife of everyday life to find their footing in difficult times, makes him a highly valued member of Pacific Cascade Legal’s diverse team of attorneys.
Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Joshua spent years working in corporate training, teaching, and project management before deciding to pursue his law degree. During law school, he worked as a clerk for the trademark and copyright clinic assisting small business owners with IP needs, and has since worked in data privacy, real estate transactions, probate work, estate planning, and most continually, family law. Joshua is a multi-faceted attorney who utilizes his broad legal experience to help families identify their goals and the strategy needed to achieve them. He brings creative and personalized solutions to each of his family law cases, and finds satisfaction in helping people in low places find their way to the future they want. According to Joshua, “The legal system is difficult to navigate, a problem amplified in times of turmoil and emotional need. Family law gives me a chance to guide others through these troubling times with confidence.”
When not working, Joshua finds joy in the comradery and opportunity for personal improvement that goes hand in hand with sports. With ten years of competitive swimming under his belt, Joshua has also enjoyed playing and coaching volleyball throughout the years, and is currently a self-proclaimed tennis enthusiast. In addition, he enjoys theater, sewing, and the art of finding, creating, and enjoying delicious food.
Joshua’s favorite quote, spoken by David Graeber, is not only indicative of the way he views the world, but is also fitting to his profession, and his determination to help his clients reinvent the life they hope to lead: “The ultimate, hidden truth of the world is that it is something that we make, and could just as easily make differently.”
